3 Methods of Creating Confidence

Confidence is created through personal development, believing in oneself and being open to change.  Many people suffer from a lack of confidence every day.  If we all were more confident in ourselves, we would be less offended by everything, feel better about ourselves and our abilities, and live a happier, more fulfilling life.  We all should strive to become more confident and find new ways to continuously do so.  To help you get started, here are three methods of creating confidence.
1. New Experiences
Confidence comes from having new experiences.  More experiences equal more confidence.  This is because we become more of the person we want to be rather than who we wish to be.  We learn from each experience and use it to better our lives.  For example, someone who has never been to the gym before, but decided to start a routine where they did, is doing so to become healthier.  They not only experience going to the gym for the first time but learn different workouts, see new people, and create a routine.  So, they not only become more confident in going to the gym but also meeting new people, being organized, and becoming healthier.  Another example is traveling.  Those who travel experience new people, places, and cultures.  They can use the knowledge acquired to better there personal and professional lives alike.
2. Sharing Opinions
People are afraid to share their opinion.  For one, those who are afraid believe their opinions do not matter.  Second, they do not want to argue or create a problem between them and other people.  However, sharing one's opinion and sticking by it is how confidence is created.  Some people automatically assume they are wrong even if they are right.  That mindset needs to be eliminated for the sake of creating confidence.  Rather than being afraid to speak your mind, do so with the intention of believing in what you have to say.  Even if you end up being wrong, the ability to share one's opinion and explain why creates confidence by eliminating self-doubt and believing in oneself.  Nobody is perfect and not everyone can be right all of the time, but it is better than assuming you are wrong and constantly doubting yourself.
3. Self-Care
Taking care of oneself is one of the best ways to feel confident.  Something so simple drastically affects a person's confidence.  When we look good, we feel good, and when we feel good, we are confident in ourselves and our abilities.  Some self-care methods include personal hygiene, dressing sharply, and exercising.  You will also feel more confident once other people begin noticing you are taking care of yourself.  People respect those who take care of themselves, believing they are in control of their own lives.

Three Life-Long Lessons to Remember #2

Do you need a reminder of what is important in life?  How about the proper way to handle a situation when feeling angry or stressed?  If so, you have come to the right place.  If you know these bits of information already, just remember its important to be reminded every now and again.  So, without further adieu, here are three life-long lessons to remember #2. 1. Money Isn’t Everything      Wouldn’t it be nice if tomorrow, you won the lottery?   The sheer joy you’d feel would probably be something you’ve never experienced before.   What would you do with the money: buy a house, go on an exotic vacation, quit your job?   When this type of pleasure flows over you, the possibilities feel endless.   No matter what you do, being financially free would make you happy, at least for a while.   Eventually, you would want something more than just financial freedom.   Having money is great, but what ...

The Meaning of Thanksgiving - a Few Words to Remember

Tonight's blog will be shorter than usual due to Thanksgiving, but I still wanted to leave you guys with a few things to remember.  Thanksgiving, or any holiday for that matter, is about family, friends, and making memories, wouldn't you agree?  Personally, I love being able to see my extended family, even if it's for a short while.  The holiday season is, to some, the only time they are able to get together with family and enjoy their company.  Sometimes we need to be reminded of this, so we remember to enjoy the time spent together.  Even if you do not get along with some of your family members, times like these are perfect for making amends if possible.  Do you have any memories like this?  If so, I would love to hear them in the comments.  Overall, remember that Thanksgiving is more than just about eating but sharing a moment with those you love.  Happy Thanksgiving everybody and I hope your day is filled with food, fa...

How Communication Can Repair & Strengthen Relationships

Communication is the key to success in all aspects of life.  We often assume people know how we are feeling, but this is not the case.  Nobody truly understands how you are feeling unless you tell them.  To quote Eleanor Roosevelt, “You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realize how seldom they do.”  The Importance of Communication      Without communication, we tend to overthink, overreact, and become emotional.   We lack answers so we make them up in our heads.   Small problems become big problems real quick, and we may lash out at the other person.   If you don’t know what’s going on in the other person’s head, how can you expect to understand their way of thinking?        When we communicate, we learn from the other person’s perspective.   Instead of using our own perception to justify something, we learn the real reason behind someone’s actions, ...
