3 Methods of Waking up Earlier

If there is one problem people have it is waking up at a reasonable time.   I am no exception and have constantly tried to correct the problem.   Whether it be hitting the snooze alarm, staying up late, or improper planning, most of the world wakes up only when they have to.   However, there are many benefits to waking up early, such as getting a head start over everyone else, more free time, increased motivation, etc.   To reap the rewards, we must first train ourselves to wake up at a reasonable time.   It can be difficult, but it is not impossible.   Here are three methods of waking up earlier! 1. Move Alarms Across the Room      The most difficult part of waking up is actually pushing yourself to do so.   It is easy to turn your alarm off and go back to bed when it is right next to you.   To negate this, set your alarm and place it on the other side of your room.   This forces you to get out of bed, else you have to deal with the alarm going off while trying to sleep.

I try to take it throughout the year to prevent sickness or if I feel a cold coming on. 2.   Emergen C – Similar to Sambucol, Emergen C is another immune system booster. If you find yourself traveling a lot during the cold season, I would definitely suggest taking some Emergen C before you get on your flight/enter the airport. As everyo

Three Reasons to Be Selfless

When I say to be selfless, it does not mean you should give in to other’s wishes while putting yourself on the backburner.   We can be selfish in certain situations, but more often than not, it is better to be selfless.   We all have an instinctive desire to feel appreciated, wanted, and useful.   We also want to be generous, which is why many wealthy individuals donate to charities and aid in global development.   Being selfless allows us to attain these desires.   When we are selfless, we keep the interests of other people in mind, helping those in need as much as possible.   As a reward, we feel good about ourselves and are sometimes rewarded by those we help in some form; friendship, material gain, or knowledge, etc.   We may also gain a positive reputation from those around us.   Overall, there are many reasons to be selfless rather than selfish.   We will go into further into detail by discussing the three most beneficial reasons to be selfless. 1. Personal Satisfaction

Three Reasons to Remember Your Life History

Most of us have heard the phrase, “those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.”   If people do not take history into account before taking action, they may make the same mistakes as others have previously.   When it comes to our personal lives, if we do not take our life history and experience into account, we could repeat past mistakes which hindered our personal development.   We should learn from our past to avoid similar situations from ever occurring again.   If we choose not to do so, the quality of life stagnates.   Although it sounds simple, there are plenty of people who forget their past and follow similar, dead-end paths throughout life.   To avoid this, we need to be reminded from time to time the reasons why it is beneficial to remember our life history.   Here are three of those reasons. 1. Less Likely to Repeat past Mistakes      Survival involves learning from our mistakes and adapting to our environment.   We should expect to make mistakes

Three Ways to Stop Feeling Overwhelmed

When life becomes stressful, giving up can seem the most promising.  Of course, you do not want to cause yourself unnecessary stress, and if you have the ability to remove this unnecessity from your life then so be it.  However, there are many instances where giving up is never the answer; home life, school, professional development, etc.  We only feel the need to give up after feeling overwhelmed.  The feeling of being overwhelmed comes from stress, exhaustion, and/or feeling defeated by whatever obstacles are blocking the road to success.  Naturally, we begin to contemplate giving up to remove this feeling of pain and replace it with pleasure.  However, giving up is not necessary.  You just have to find ways to remove that overwhelmed feeling.  So, without further adieu, here are three ways to stop feeling overwhelmed. 1. Remove Yourself from the Situation      When we are overwhelmed our minds run a mile a minute.  This can cause us to think about multiple different items i
