Three Life-Long Lessons to Remember

Today’s blog discusses three important lessons that I believe everyone should take into account throughout their lives.  It is important to learn more about how to manage life’s unpredictability, how to deal with the highs as well as the lows, and understand how to make life better through various practices.  I am confident that this short blog does just that.  So, here are three life-long lessons to remember.
1. Change is Inevitable
Many people fear change because they enjoy their current routines, lifestyle, and environment.  However, the only everlasting feature of life changes.  Life will never be the same day in and day out.  We will ultimately see change at one point or another, both minor and drastic.  The outside forces of the universe are always changing as well, and through the butterfly effect can interfere with our current routines.  The butterfly effect states that a small change in one area can lead to drastic changes in another.  I believe in this theory as everything that occurs around us has some minute effect on the surrounding environment.  The point is, we should look at the fear of change as irrational and try to embrace it.  The amount of time spent worrying about the coming change prevents you from enjoying the moment.  However, once the change has been put into effect, you begin to adapt and it becomes a part of your new routine.  So, after all of that worrying, you were fine in the end.  This happens to everyone, and you would be smart to remember this when similar instances occur.  If you can catch yourself worrying about change before stressing out, then you can avoid all of the useless worries and enjoy life, embracing the change in the process.
2. Accept the Positives and Negatives of Life
Life is a roller coaster of positive and negative.  We can enjoy one minute of life and be disappointed by the next.  We will never 100% enjoy every occurrence in life.  Our personalities, likes and dislikes, opinions, etc., are what help us determine what we perceive as positive or negative.  No matter, we should accept these moments for what they are despite our personal opinions.  A negative situation, though distasteful at the moment, can be a deciding factor in who you become later in life.  More so, any negative aspect of life will not last forever, so to be disheartened by it is not productive.  Rather than worry about it and wallow in self-pity, it is better to accept the situation and work on turning the negative into a positive.  By doing this, you will feel much more in control of your life, less stressed, and better equipped to handle any of life’s curveballs.  Overall, accept both the positives and negatives of life, enjoy the positives when they occur and stop worrying about the negatives so much.
3. Never Stop Learning
A lot of people seem to believe education ends outside of the classroom.  This is not the case, and you would be wise to remember this.  School, in my opinion, lays an educational foundation down for the public to build upon.  Once we have finally left school and are thrown into the workforce, what we learn thereafter determines our future quality of life.  For example, you would be wise to learn how to invest your money to plan for retirement.  Doing so could prevent you from having to worry about retirement with little to fall back on.  Also, learning more about a particular skill or job will open doors for future employment.  This, in turn, would mean better opportunities for your professional and personal lives.  As Tai Lopez once said, “The more you learn, the more you earn.”  Heed these words as well as mine and learn to better your lives.

The Meaning of Thanksgiving - a Few Words to Remember

Tonight's blog will be shorter than usual due to Thanksgiving, but I still wanted to leave you guys with a few things to remember.  Thanksgiving, or any holiday for that matter, is about family, friends, and making memories, wouldn't you agree?  Personally, I love being able to see my extended family, even if it's for a short while.  The holiday season is, to some, the only time they are able to get together with family and enjoy their company.  Sometimes we need to be reminded of this, so we remember to enjoy the time spent together.  Even if you do not get along with some of your family members, times like these are perfect for making amends if possible.  Do you have any memories like this?  If so, I would love to hear them in the comments.  Overall, remember that Thanksgiving is more than just about eating but sharing a moment with those you love.  Happy Thanksgiving everybody and I hope your day is filled with food, fa...

How Communication Can Repair & Strengthen Relationships

Communication is the key to success in all aspects of life.  We often assume people know how we are feeling, but this is not the case.  Nobody truly understands how you are feeling unless you tell them.  To quote Eleanor Roosevelt, “You wouldn’t worry so much about what others think of you if you realize how seldom they do.”  The Importance of Communication      Without communication, we tend to overthink, overreact, and become emotional.   We lack answers so we make them up in our heads.   Small problems become big problems real quick, and we may lash out at the other person.   If you don’t know what’s going on in the other person’s head, how can you expect to understand their way of thinking?        When we communicate, we learn from the other person’s perspective.   Instead of using our own perception to justify something, we learn the real reason behind someone’s actions, ...

3 Reasons to Incorporate Breaks Into Your Daily Routine

Something as simple as a break can be overlooked easily.  Today's fast-paced society can be strenuous to keep up with.  It is no wonder why people can forget to get away from their work and relax.  However, people need to realize that without breaks, productivity can decrease, we can feel overworked, and our focus diminishes.  So, as a reminder to all of those hard-working folks out there who forget to think of themselves from time to time, here are three reasons to incorporate breaks into your daily routine. 1. Breaks Can Increase Focus      We can sometimes get so invested in our work that tunnel vision kicks in.  When this happens, we seldom stop what we are doing and 'focus' on the end goal of our projects.  This, ironically, can lead to a poor work performance.  Tunnel vision can cloud our minds and judgement, making us focus on getting the project done rather than the minor details.  As a result, mistak...
